Kindness at Your School

If you are a parent, teacher, principal or administrator, please contact me about having your school sign up for the One Million Acts of Kindness initiative. Your school can sign up at any point during the school year. Individual classrooms can sign up as well.

Most of my children’s friends know me as Uncle Bob. It is so enjoyable to cross paths with them as I travel the United States. They have grown into caring young adults. Melanie, pictured in today’s blog is a friend to all three of my children. She paid me a wonderful compliment. It is the title of this blog.

Kindness In Every Language

Elias has been a friend of the Votruba family for nearly twenty years. Five years ago, he wrote these beautiful words on the Kindness Bus, “encuentra la felicidad esta entus manos.” I felt the need as I traveled through Cleveland to have him write on the Blue Bird of Kindness. What he wrote was equally inspiring, “se feliz la vida es muy corta.”

With summer winding down,  it was an honor to take my nephew, Mason to a Cleveland Indians baseball game. Usually soft spoken and quiet, he was a chatterbox, wanting to know an assortment of everything. We even had a talk about drugs and the importance of being a role model to all the kids in his school and neighborhood by never using drugs and recommending to his friends the same ideals.
