I received a very inspiring note from good friends, Nance and Peter of Kindness Acts. Nance is celebrating her birthday in a unique way, please take the time to check it out!
I am doing a 60 day ‘Birthday Kindness Challenge’ which I started on Oct 17th
Everyday, I will blog about what I did that day, and what happened.. You can find it at
Kindnessacts.org – under the heading ‘kindness blog’
Of course and as always, trying to inspire others to ‘act up’ as well

SUCCEED!

10-15-14

It doesn’t get any better than the day I had today. I visited the very caring SUCCEED students at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
This incredible group of students has been taking part in One Million Acts of Kindness Week for the past four years. They have been performing kind acts every day since.
I was moved to tears when they showed me a presentation of all they have been doing…very moving.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this day possible, especially Nicole Worley.
I look forward to returning to this area for a full week in the spring. Stay tuned.

Six hundred students from Liberty Middle School in Morganton, North Carolina were a perfect audience as they sat and listened and asked great questions about One Million Acs of Kindness. A big thank you to Mrs. Barnsback and Mrs. Miller for their help with my visit. Thank you as well to Miles for caring for Bogart.

It was a joy to visit friends Cyndy and Dan as the Blue Bird of Kindness made its way north of DC. It was an even bigger joy to watch their family in action as they interacted with their children with loving kindness. What a beautiful family!

I met Gene Epstein several years ago in the early days of One Million Acts of Kindness. We have stayed in touch over the years, both of us interested in each other’s missions. Gene is involved in many kind missions, always lending a helping hand. Next spring he is going to organize a Kindness Army Walk in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to benefit One Million Acts of Kindness.
Thank you Gene.

Bogart was blessed, as I try to do each year, on the day of celebration of Saint Francis of Assisi. He always seems to enjoy the fun ceremony…as much as I.

Thank you to the doctors and staff of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary for helping to restore my vision in my left eye due to a detached retina. It allows me to witness the beauty such as this fireworks display last evening.
