Very Fitting

7-6

Arriving in New York City I found a little time to paint a few of the spots on the bus that were just done in magic marker. These areas seem to fade over time and the only way to permanently remedy it is to add a coat of paint.
One of these areas state the reason why I started this mission. I found it very fitting to paint this area while in New York City.

7-5

Heading south, I arrived in New York City. The bustle of this town lies in stark contrast to many of the pristine areas of countryside recently visited in Connecticut. I was met with applause, horns and at one time a standing ovation for the bicycle signs.
I will try to get at least 10 hours of riding in before I head out to Long Island in a couple of days.

Freedom

There are many ways to celebrate the Fourth of July and Bogart certainly seems to have it nailed down. May all of you have a safe holiday and remember the freedoms provided us by the men and women in uniform.

7-3

This wonderful couple from Stamford, Connecticut invited me to stay with them for several days to ease the burden of my travels. It was a celebration between all of us including extended family. Between the morning coffee, steel cut oats and evening fun, their hospitality gets five stars.
Kindness was the topic of conversation throughout the visit.
“It’s all good.”

7-2

What a wonderful three day visit to this town which seems stuck in time in a very comfortable way. I was able to park and ride in a spot of high visibility where pedestrians, bicycle riders and drivers of cars were able to connect with me during my stay.
I most certainly will return as often as possible.

Kindness Rocks

7-1

Girl Scout troop 38380 from Milford, Connecticut invited me to their “Kindness Rocks” project. This group of girls painted small rocks and put them along the boardwalk to the beach in Milford. I talked with them while many beachgoers stopped to join in the conversation. All the words on the rocks are very healing and help those who decide to take the time to read them, benefit greatly.
