Bikes for Tykes

Friday, March 24th, 2017

Thank you to Bikes for Tykes board members for tuning up my original Kindness Bicycle and donating a newer model to serve as a stand-in when needed.
In the 30+ years since the inception of BFT, they have given away over 23,000 bicycles, free of charge, to children and adults their community. Bikes for Tykes accepts used bicycles, bicycle parts in good condition, and new bicycles and helmets. The donations are used to refurbish the bicycles. The refurbished bicycles are given to children and adults in need.

Autism Art Event

Thursday, March 23rd, 2017

What a wonderful way to bring a beautiful day to an end. It was Special Arts Studio Night sponsored by the Children’s Fund of Collier County. These adults with special needs are so kind and caring, it is a pleasure to spend time with them at the many events I attend.

Fun, fun, fun at Grizzlies Day Care this morning. We talked about making lifelong friends by being kind. These young students, most of them who have already seen one or two of our programs, were thrilled to see Bogart and the Kindness Bus pull into their school parking lot

Knights of Columbus

Tuesday, March 21st, 2017

Walt volunteers with Knights of Columbus and was working with their Tootsie Roll project which raises funds for disabled individuals when he called me over to learn about our ride to offer comfort to children with disabilities and differences. It’s wonderful to know of all the amazing groups across the country to help with children’s issues.

Spring into Kindness

Monday, March 20th, 2017

Today is one of the most exciting days of the year, not only is it the first day of spring, it is also the 6th annual Spring into Kindness Day!
On this day you are urged to surprise someone with an act of kindness. You can even surprise a two-year-old French Bulldog puppy such as Vince. The return on my kindness to him was immediate. Puppy kisses are the best.

East Naples Kiwanis

Saturday, March 18th, 2017

Thank you to the East Naples Kiwanis for the invitation to talk to their group this morning about my upcoming ride. Jeanne from Laces of Love and Skip from Caps for Cancer were here today as well. They had children in need “covered from head to toe.”
