A few short miles off interstate 71 in Sunbury, Ohio is the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial. 282 heroes from Ohio have given their lives to the war on terrorism. Thousands of heroes across the United States have given their lives and tens of thousands have suffered debilitating injuries. Please please take the time to pause and reflect on the sacrifices that are unfortunately overlooked far too often. This memorial was a must-stop along my travels.

Ashland University feels like home away from home every time I visit this campus. The Kindness Bus is parked in front of the Ashland Center for Nonviolence to meet with these kind, caring folks today.
One of my favorite people on the face of the earth, Dr. John Stratton, founded the Ashland Center for Nonviolence to help create a kinder world for all of us, passed away this past summer. His quote, “Kindness for everyone, no exceptions” is prominently displayed on the Kindness Bus as I travel the country.

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful visit to Harrison Elementary School in Lakewood, Ohio today. The 400 or so students and faculty at the school started a kindness program at the beginning of the year, helping the community with their kind actions.
This school with their H.O.P. Program Will help the community throughout the school year. What a wonderful lesson for children to learn.
